Safety gloves at Safety Hub currently cost from KSh 100 to KSh 7,500 a pair, depending on the type. Everyday work gloves are at the low end (KSh 100 to KSh 3,200); specialist gloves such as electrical gloves cost more (KSh 4,500 to KSh 7,500). The price table on this page is read from our shop.
Leather gloves and diamond grip gloves suit general construction work. Add cut resistant gloves for sharp edges and sheet metal, and impact resistant gloves for heavy work where the back of the hand can be hit.
EN 388 is the European standard for protection against mechanical risks: abrasion, cuts, tears and punctures. Impact protection can also be rated. Check the marking on the glove or product page for its levels.
Chemical protection is tested under EN ISO 374. PVC and rubber gloves suit wet work and many cleaning tasks, but no glove resists every chemical. Tell us the chemical and we will advise before you buy.
Welders need gloves made for welding, such as leather welding gloves, which protect against heat, sparks and spatter. The European standard for welders' gloves is EN 12477.
