How does Carbon dioxide extinguisher work?

CO2 extinguishers work by displacing oxygen or simply displacing oxygen which is one of the elements of the fire triangle. CO2 is also very cold, therefore, cools the fuel. However, CO2 is not effective for in extinguishing class A fires as the may not displace the oxygen enough. In addition, class A fires also have the habit of re-igniting themselves

Carbon dioxide extinguishers are ideal for laboratories, kitchens, mechanical rooms and in flammable liquid storage areas.
